At Mannahelp, we’re empowering communities through food and sustainability.
Through partnerships with local businesses and organizations, Mannahelp ensures that vulnerable families, including new immigrants and marginalized communities, have access to fresh and nutritious food.
As part of our ongoing commitment to food security and sustainability, Mannahelp is launching a community garden initiative at 555 Rossland Road East in Whitby. This garden is located within the open lawn area west of the Whitby Civic Recreation Complex parking lot.
Recently approved by the Town of Whitby, this initiative will transform the site into a thriving space for growing fresh vegetables and fruits.
The garden will directly support families in need by providing locally grown produce while also fostering education on urban farming, environmental conservation, and self-sufficiency.
Through this initiative, Mannahelp aims to:
*Increase access to fresh food for the community.
*Promote environmental stewardship through sustainable gardening practices.
*Educate and engage the community in food production and urban agriculture. Create volunteer opportunities that strengthen community ties and encourage social impact.

The community garden will not only supplement Mannahelp’s food distribution programs but will also serve as a learning space for families and volunteers interested in sustainable food production. With support from local partners, donors, and volunteers, this initiative will contribute to a healthier, more resilient community.
Want to get involved? Mannahelp welcomes volunteers, seed and tool donations, and corporate sponsorships to help this garden flourish.
Together, we can grow hope, nourish families, and build a greener future!
